Our vision for The WELL is to teach biblical truths in a real and relevant way to a hurting world. We believe that God has uniquely gifted Dr. David D. Swanson with an extraordinary ability to communicate God’s word and we want to extend his message to as many as possible.

We believe that there is a need in the landscape of media ministry to present the living word in an applicable, personal way from a sound theological foundation. We have produced The WELL with high production standards so that the message is entertaining and engaging for the viewer — more than a rebroadcast of a worship service.

In the fall of 2009, we launched the broadcast in four markets: Orlando, Dallas, Ft. Myers and Chattanooga. The 30-minute format includes Dr. Swanson speaking in a personal, one on one conversational style; it also features a “Living Water” segment as someone shares his or her own personal faith journey, relevant to that day’s message. The response has been overwhelming.

Recently, we were approached by the leading network of religious broadcasting, Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). TBN proposed that The WELL begin its world wide ministry on their sister station, The Church Channel (TCC). TCC has a potential audience reach of 2.3 billion. We are excited to report that we will begin airing on TCC on February 6, 2011.

ABOUT DR. DAVID SWANSON

Dr. David D. Swanson is the Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. His congregation is among the largest in the Presbyterian Church, USA, and he is an active leader in the denomination’s renewal movement.

Dr. Swanson’s preparation for ministry began at his home church, Highland Park Presbyterian in Dallas, Texas. He completed his Master of Divinity studies at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He has furthered his ministry as a pastor in Chattanooga, Tennessee as well as Ft. Myers, Florida. Dr. Swanson’s ministry today is one marked by faithful worship, vibrant preaching, and a commitment to both discipleship and service.

Dr. Swanson resides in Orlando, Florida with his wife, Leigh and their three children.
