Why Confess?

We’ve all done or said something wrong at some point in our lives, but isn’t it hard confessing our sins to each other? It can be very intimidating to admit that we’ve done something sinful, and it can be easy to justify our actions by pointing to our neighbor who has done worse. However, James 5:16 instructs us to “… confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed…” Is there something you need to confess to Jesus, the forgiver of our sins?
