Prayer is our primary way to connect with our Creator. As we find ourselves overwhelmed with life and we are busy doing, working and planning, we must not forget the most effective way to bring about change is by praying. This message reminds us all of the great power and effectiveness of prayer, and challenges us to embrace one of the most underutilized elements of our faith. James 5:16 states, “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” May this message remind us all that consistent prayer yields more faithful works from the Lord than we could ever plan on your own.
In the Living Water segment this week you’ll hear from Robin Parkhouse, former University of Alabama football player who played under Bear Bryant, who in the midst of his darkest hour was transformed by prayer.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. James 5:15
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I just watched the show about Jes building a manger. . I was moved to tears and am reminded of the real meaning of Christmas.
I have friends, young and old, that will be expecting gifts. I wish I could come up with something I could write on a card to each of them that would let them know how special they are to me. That even the young ones who want (are expecting a tangible gift) that I could come up with something they would even accept in a card. I would love to bring Jesus and His love and peace to all of them this Christmas. Pray I can come up with an idea. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Jesus loves you and God bless you this holiday season.
